5TH - 8TH gRADE: WEDNESDAY NIGHTS: 6:30-8:00 FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP LOCATION.

This year we will be looking at how we grapple with our faith, our relationships with others, and the choices we make. During this year we will have different type of learning experience with lessons, special activities, worship time, service opportunities, and a lot of fun.

Fall Harvest Party Oct. 25th

Students may dress up in costume, but it is not required.  We will be playing games, enjoying food and each other’s company.  Students are encouraged to bring a dessert to share with everyone, as well as a 2 liter of pop.

We will be looking at what temptations are (character and spiritual tests that are a part of life).  Everyone has temptations, but God is faithful and will always help us to overcome them.  We do not have the strength to resist temptations by ourselves. God gives us His power and strength to resist and overcome temptations as we trust Him.  We will look at how to resist the temptations of the devil.  We'll learn that sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is just be still; just stand firm on the word and promises of God. And in so doing, you will wear the devil out, and he will flee from you.  We will also learn that influence is a powerful thing. Good influence is awesome, but negative influence can be detrimental on so many levels. Influence comes from everything around us to our family and friends to social media, to what we listen to or watch on TV, and the list continues. Therefore, it is critical that we allow God’s word to shape our lives and be the compass that directs us.  That we never give up and remember, that whatever we do in this life, whatever we try to accomplish, and yes, even when we are tempted to give up, God is always with us. He will restore and strengthen us and give us power to help us resist the urge to be lazy in our faith.
